Just for You

I used the Viva La Verve sketch from SCS for this card. This is the last sketch for June. I really like this sketch and the way the card turned out I am very happy with it. I wanted to use the haiku DSP, yes I know it is retired but it is such a cute paper and I really like the colors that are in it. I was too late in posting on SCS so I didn't get in contest. Oh well, it happens sometimes.

Dreams Du Jour # 6

Red is my favorite color right now so you will see a lot of cards that I make have reds in them. I cased this card from SCS, that's right the red appealed to me. It is also the stamp of the month so I needed to make it.
Stamp sets: dreams du jour, poka dot background, bella toille background.
The card base and the under layers are all in riding hood red (incolor). Whisper white is the top layers. The bella toile background was stamped with versa mark then irridescent ice embossing powder was added and heat set.
Love you was stamped in stazon black and colored in with riding hood red and kiwi kiss re-inkers.
The ribbon is the striped riding hood red.
Thanks for stopping by, God Bless, Have a good day.

Dream Du Jour # 4

It's Dream Du Jour card # 4. I had my friend Joyce in mind when I created this card. It,s a very simple easy card to do. The card base is regal rose and sponged around the edges with pacific point ink. The itty bitty background was used at the bottom of the card in regal rose ink. The taffeta ribbon was added above the itty bitty bg. tied in a bow. Whisper white was cut at 3x3 and I ripped around all the edges and sponged with regal rose ink. Designer paper is ( in the new catty January 18-09) called rasberry tart, the petal card is one of the big shot die cut machine dies. I folded all the petals in and folded them back on it self to make a square in the centre. the butterfly was stamped on a 2 1/4" sq. with the regal rose ink.Itty bitty bg was added to the top left and bottom right corners. Dazzling diamonds was added around the circle and the butterfly. The sentiment was stamped and sponged around the edges with regal rose ink. I added one of the new designer brads to the bottom.
thanks for stopping by, God Bless and have a good day.

Dreams Du Jour # 3

We've had a lot of rain lately so to pass the time I created this card last night. This is dreams du jour #3. The card base is this years incolor Baja Breeze. The designer paper will be in the new catalogue coming out January 18/09, called rasberry tart. Layered to that is whisper white & rasberry tart edged with the scallop edge punch. The top note die is one of the big shot die cuts. The background was sprits with the spritzer tool (from the catalogue in the accessories section.) using the pretting in pink marker. The butterfly was stamped all over the background in baja breeze ink. One butter fly was stamped with pacific point, cut out and added to the card with dimentionals. The dreams circle was aslo stamped with the pacific point and cut out and put on with dimentionals. The word dreams and around the circle I have colored it in with reinkers and the blender pen in pretty in pink. Kiwi kiss was added to the leaves, and dots were added to the whisper white edge scallop in kiwi kiss. I felt it still needed something, so I used dazzling diamonds on the flowers and centre's of the butterflies.
Thanks for looking, and have a good day,
Carol

Dreams Du Jour # 2

Don't you just love the designer paper in this card it's called Bella Rose. I cased this card from SCS. Card base is riding hood red. The next layer is the flowered bella rose and is layered on top of whisper white. The kiwi kiss green bella rose is layered on a strip of whisper white. the red bella rose also layered over a rectangle of the whisper white. The love you was stamped on whisper white and colored in with the markers. I then stamped another love you and cut out the flower adding a dimentional on the back to give it dimention. Butter fly was stamped in Kiwi kiss and cut out with sissors. Kiwi kiss satin ribbon was added to the last layer of the card.

thanks for stopping by, have a good evening.

Dreams Du Jour # 1

As promised here is the first card made with the dreams du jour set. I cased it from the fall and winter catalogue changing a few things. The card base is bashful blue stamped with the background stamp bella toile. I used the scallop edge punch on the whisper white at both ends, layering bashful blue over the whisper white. Bashful blue ribbon was tied in a bow around the layers. I stamped 2 of the love and punched one out with the 1 1/4" square punch, adding dimentionals. The second love I cut around the love word with sissors, adding dimentionals to make it pop. The butterfly was cut out with sissors and glued above the love square. I folded the top wing a little to give it more dimention. This card will make a great Valentine card. I hope this has given you some ideas to make your own. I will add more through out the month. Stop by and see them all.
Have a good evening!
Carol
