Birthday Pinwheel

I watched a video on Barb Mullikin's site Stampin' Is my Job! and she was showing how to make an easy pinwheel. I had to give it a try and I love it. I am so pleased with the result and it really was very easy. I am entering the card in the Winter Wonderland challenge. They are having an open theme this week.

Holiday Greetings

From now until December I will mostly be making Christmas cards. Todays card is one that I find so cute and easy to make so I will make a few of these ones. I have used a new product from Stampin' Up to finish the card off. I put alcohol in a spray bottle and added the frosy white ink from the mini holiday catty. It sprays on great and gives a nice sparkle to the paper. This card is also going into the Winter Wonderland Challenge. The inspiration is what image do you conjure up when you think of hot chocolate. I alway's think of hot chocolate when I have been outside in the cold, and especially when playing in the snow. This winter theme is perfect to show how I feel.

Sincere Salutations Birthday Wishes

I thought I would show you a card I made for my granddaughter's birthday. Everything is Stampin'Up! EXCEPT the designer paper. I received it as a gift but there is no brand name on it so I can't even tell you where it is from. If you happen to recognize the paper please contact me so I can give credit. I used it because It is for a personal card and I really need to use up some of the paper I have that is not stampin up. I think this paper is perfect for the elephant. I hope you like it.

Pretty Amazing

Pretty Amazing stamp set was on the dormant list, it dusted it off the shelf and put it back in the new catalogue. This is a whimsical set but so cute. The base card is very vanilla. The flowers and leaves were stamped on as a background on the bottom half of the card base. Large flower was stamped 2 times in lavendar lace ink, cut out one flower fully and a piece of the flower at the top and put on with diamentionals. The humming bird and butterfly were also cut out and glued with the dimentionals. the flowers were colored in using reinkers and blender pen. /the bottom border is from the stamp set beautiful borders and stamped in lavendar lace. It was then layered onto Perfect plum. Glitter was added to the flower centres and across the bottom and top of the border. Thanks for stopping in, god bless, have a good day,
Carol

Pocket Silhouette

The pocket silhouette stamp set is so cute and versitile. It makes a quick card in just a few minutes, and can be made for any occation. The card base is chocolate chip. The pretty in pink was stamped with the french script background stamp. It is hard to see but it is there. I then used the scallop edge punch on the bottom to give it some texture. I stamped two of the stamps from the pocket silhouetts on the whisper white and punched them out with the 1 1/4" square punch. The chocolate chip was punched with the scallop square, and layered with the whisper white. The get well sentiment was stamped with the All Holiday stamp, and punched out with the key tag. The chcolate chip ribbon was tied in a bow. The ribbon just finished the card off.
Have a good evening,
Carol
